Julia Kowalski

Born in France to Polish parents, Julia explores her relationship with her country of origin through her films, continually returning to themes that are close to her: the working class, exile, adolescence, family, sexuality, and faith. She moves fluidly between fiction and documentary. Her latest feature film, “Que ma volonté soit faite / Her Will Be Done”, premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight section at the Cannes Film Festival.
