Brando Crawford
Brando Crawford is a Chicago-based director, producer, actor, musician, and founder of Acting for a Cause, a creative initiative producing film and theatre projects in support of charitable causes. Acting for a Cause has brought together performers including Florence Pugh, Jacob Elordi, Bella Thorne, Bob Odenkirk, Kate Siegel, and others, with projects covered by BBC, British Vogue, Variety, and the Chicago Tribune.
Crawford directed and produced “The Room Returns”, the feature-length charity tribute starring Bob Odenkirk, Bella Heathcote, Kate Siegel, and original “The Room” cast member Greg Sestero, with Mike Flanagan among its executive producers. The film was shot in a single day and has played a growing run of sold-out benefit screenings in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and internationally.
His Chicago theatre work includes “White Rabbit Red Rabbit”, “The Anyway Cabaret”, “Martyr”, and “Rudolph” with Broadway In Chicago. He is also a member of Never Sorry alongside Rivkah Reyes, Joey Gaydos Jr., and Rob Raco, with collaborators including Twin Shadow and pianist Mike Garson. Crawford also co-runs The Language and Music School in Oak Park, Illinois.
