Rules & Regulations – 11. Splat!FilmFest 2025
- FESTIVAL
- 11th Splat!FilmFest – International Fantastic Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Festival) is a festival of new horror cinema, fantasy, genre cinema, and arthouse film.
- As part of the Festival, film screenings, lectures, meetings with filmmakers, and other accompanying events are organized.
- ORGANIZER
- The organizer of the 11th Splat!FilmFest is Fundacja Nowa Aleksandria with its registered office in Łęczna, address: os. Kol. Trębaczów 31, 21-010 Łęczna, entered into the register of associations by the District Court Lublin-Wschód in Lublin with its seat in Świdnik, 6th Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under KRS number: 0000517489, NIP: 5050124534 (hereinafter referred to as the Organizer).
- The Organizer and co-organizers ensure safety and order during the Festival.
- DATE AND VENUE
- The 11th edition of Splat!FilmFest will take place from 24 to 31 October 2025 in cinemas in Warsaw (Kinoteka), hereinafter referred to as the Cinema, in accordance with the schedule published on the websites of the Festival and the Cinema.
- CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
- Any person taking part in the Festival’s events is considered a participant of the Festival.
- Participation in film screenings organized as part of the Festival requires the purchase of a ticket. The Organizer does not sell tickets directly. On-site and online ticket sales are conducted exclusively by the Cinema, in accordance with the Cinema’s regulations available at:
- The above-mentioned regulations define, among others, the general rules for ticket and pass refunds as well as complaint procedures. The Organizer of the Festival stipulates, however, that Festival tickets and passes are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Participation in other Festival events requires the purchase of a ticket, receipt of an invitation, or accreditation from the Organizer – in accordance with the information provided on the Festival’s website.
- Purchasing a ticket or pass, or participating in any Festival event, constitutes acceptance of these rules and regulations.
- The Organizer and the Cinema clearly indicate the age category for which a given screening or event is intended, in accordance with the Festival’s recommendations. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to screenings or events to persons who do not meet the age requirements and to verify participants’ age, and in the case of minors – to check that they have the consent of their legal guardians.
- FESTIVAL PARTICIPATION RULES
- Festival participants are required to comply with these rules and with the Cinema’s regulations.
- Participants must refrain from behavior that violates social norms, including: disrupting screenings, behaving aggressively or disrespectfully toward others, using offensive language, or otherwise disturbing the Festival.
- Recording of films, lectures, and meetings with filmmakers presented during the Festival is strictly prohibited – both image and sound – using any devices, including cameras, phones, and microphones.
- The Organizer or authorized persons may refuse entry to Festival events or remove from them persons who:
- violate these regulations or the Cinema’s regulations,
- behave aggressively toward others,
- are intoxicated or under the influence of intoxicants,
- pose a threat to the safety of others or property,
- record films, lectures, meetings, or other events using devices that record image or sound.
- In the event of refusal of entry or removal from an event, participants are not entitled to a refund of the ticket price.
- The Organizer reserves the right to check participants’ bags and clothing if there is reason to believe they are bringing or possessing dangerous items or items prohibited by these regulations or the Cinema’s regulations.
- The Organizer reserves the right to record video footage and take photographs of participants and to use them in electronic, printed, and social media for informational and promotional purposes of the Festival. Participation in the Festival implies the participant’s consent to the use of their image recorded during the events for such purposes.
- The Organizer is not responsible for participants’ belongings that are lost, abandoned, or stolen during the Festival.
- Participants are obliged to follow the instructions of the Organizer, Cinema staff, and security personnel, unless such instructions contradict applicable law.
- COMPLAINTS
- Any Festival participant may file a complaint regarding the Festival.
- Complaints must be submitted by email to: splatfilmfest@gmail.com. A complaint must include at least the reason for the complaint, the claimant’s request, and their personal data (name and surname).
- The Organizer will review the complaint within 14 days from the date of receipt and inform the claimant by email of the outcome. If necessary to review the complaint, the Organizer may ask the claimant to supplement or clarify the complaint, failing which it will remain unconsidered. The complaint review period will be extended by the time taken to supplement or clarify the complaint.
- In the case of complaints regarding tickets, participants may also use the complaint procedure specified in the Cinema’s regulations.
- DATE CHANGE OR FESTIVAL CANCELLATION
- The Organizer reserves the right to change the Festival dates or to cancel the Festival for valid reasons.
- If the Festival dates are changed or the Festival is canceled, the Organizer will inform participants via an announcement on the Festival website and, if possible, by email.
- In the event of a change of dates or cancellation of the Festival, participants are entitled to a refund of the ticket price, unless the cancellation was due to force majeure.
- FINAL PROVISIONS
- These rules and regulations are governed by Polish law.
- In matters not covered by these rules, the Cinema’s regulations shall apply first, followed by generally applicable law.
- The Organizer publishes these rules on the Festival’s website.
- The Organizer may amend these rules at any time, provided that the changes do not affect the rights acquired by participants prior to the amendment.
- These rules come into effect on 18 June 2025.
