Back to Basics Narrative [intensive] – Milo Cawthorne
Beginner Workshop
A workshop for beginners focused on simple narrative games that help develop your storytelling intuition. The program includes exercises inspired by Keith Johnstone’s techniques, emphasizing fun, quick failures, and freedom from the fear of making mistakes. Perfect for beginners or anyone wishing to return to the basics of story-driven improvisation.
MILO CAWTHORNE
An actor, director, and screenwriter from New Zealand, Milo has extensive experience in screen acting and a passion for blending the worlds of film and improv – and for all the wonderful mistakes that come with trying to merge them. He has come to Poland as a guest of Splat!FilmFest, with which Szkoła Impro is honored to collaborate this year.
Milo is best known for his role as Ziggy Grover in the television series “Power Rangers RPM”. He also appeared in the World War I mini-series “When We Go To War”, and in the feature films “Blood Punch”, “Deathgasm”, and “Deathgasm 2” — the latter having its premiere at Splat!FilmFest. For his performance in “Blood Punch” (also screening at the 11th Splat!FilmFest), Milo was nominated for Best Actor at the Hoboken International Film Festival (USA, 2014) and the Rialto Channel New Zealand Film Awards (The Moas, 2017). On stage, he has appeared in several major New Zealand theatre productions, including “The History Boys” at Auckland’s Maidment Theatre.
